Durian Vendor

Trust me when I say this: It looks like a c*ck. Hahaha

It's now 10:10 PM here in Davao City, Philippines and I can't sleep. I've been reading a novel the whole day and now I'm spending time updating my social accounts on the web... This is insomnia.. I'm just worried my pimples wouldn't show up again. (My pimples usually show when I sleep late).

When I was scrolling my twitter homepage, I saw an image of a Durian which made me remember a story that I should have posted a week ago during my stroll at San Pedro.

I was at a Jollibee branch near the city hall and it was past 12:00 noon time. I was so hungry so I ended up eating at the cheapest restaurant my mind could imagine and that was at Jollibee. I ordered the usual: burger steak with three lumpias and a pineapple juice. It was unusual for me to see the store crowded with too many people but then I remembered it was lunch time. After about 10 minutes of lining up in front of the cashier for my food, I walked up the stairs and saw a sweet spot for me to sit, next to a couple which was also my age range, and both were so attractive. I usually take snapshots on these situations, but my hunger told my brain that it's not the priority right now. Right now, I should eat. So there I was, happily chewing on my meal and aborted the mission..

I was almost halfway on my meal when the couple decided to leave the store. As I was watching them, the guy stared at me intently while holding the girl's hand, his eyes told me: "get off creep, she's my girl". If only he knew I wasn't looking at her. Hahaha... Shortly after a few minutes, I too was also finished eating and decided to go home as well. Seeing that I was on San Pedro St, and since that road led straight to bangkerohan, I took the time to just walk on the straight path to ride a jeepney home (another giveaway to where I live). That way I can spend time exercising and save money (which by the way was 8 pesos only) for not riding the jeepney.

I saw nothing special on my initial treck down the familiar road. The street was still the same as it was when I was a kid. Still the same pawnshops. Still the same pirated DVD stalls. I even saw the same scenario of men playing chess at the sidewalk, with other men encircling them like it was some type of religious ceremony.

I was nearing the end of my journey, drenched with sweat, when I saw a guy that instantaneously quenched my thirst. It was in front of the Bombo Radyo office and the D'Morvie Suites. It was a push cart stall with the typical rainbow colored umbrella above. It displayed durians. There were two guys who sell this but one stood out the most.. He was the one cutting the durian. He wore a white sando that matched his sun kissed skin, and a pale blue shorts in knee length. He had a frame of an athletic Urggh, I think I just j*zzed my pants! He also looked like he had spanish ancestry, with his pronounced nose and thick eyebrows. At a rough estimate of 40 years old, this guy looked hot as hell..

By now I was still subconsciously walking, and by the time I grabbed my phone, I already walked past them. I tried to take a picture but there were many people, and some were looking at me. It was again an abort mission scenario, so instead I just looked back at him and remembered his face.

"I will come back" I told myself. "When the time is right."

If anyone is reading this that lives near the area, kindly do me a favor and take a picture of him for me so I can share this to our little community. Many thanks in advance!!

Davao City is so true with its words when it said "Life is here". Well, it's time to sleep. Goodnight guys. Keep safe. This is davaokiddo, signing out.
